How To Play Chess
The game of chess is played on a board of 64 squares in an 8x8 configuration. Each player gets 16 pieces to play with. One player gets white and the other gets black.
Starting with white, each player moves one piece at a time. The goal of the game is to put the other player in checkmate and I'll describe what that means in a minute. The rest of this tutorial is broken down into the following sections:
